How to Print Multiple Photos on One Page — 2, 4, 6, or 9 Per Sheet

Why Print Multiple Photos Per Page

  • Save paper — Print 4-9 photos instead of one per page
  • Contact sheets — Overview of a photo collection for selection
  • ID photos — Print multiple passport-size photos for applications
  • Labels and cards — Repeat an image for business cards or stickers

Layout Options

Photos Per Page Layout Best For
2 Side by side Large prints (5x7)
4 2x2 grid Standard photos (4x6)
6 2x3 or 3x2 Wallet-size or contact proof
9 3x3 grid Passport photos, small proofs

How to Create Multi-Photo Pages

Method 1: Image to PDF with Custom Layout

  1. Resize each photo to the desired per-image size
  2. Create a canvas at A4/Letter dimensions
  3. Place photos in a grid layout
  4. Export as PDF or image

Method 2: Use Print Settings

  1. Convert images to a single PDF (one per page)
  2. When printing, select "Multiple pages per sheet" in print dialog
  3. Choose 2, 4, 6, or 9 per page

Method 3: Passport Photo Grid

For passport/exam photos, use the spec resizer to create one correctly sized photo, then duplicate it in a grid layout for printing on a single sheet.

Tips

  • Add thin borders between photos for easier cutting
  • Use photo paper for best results
  • Ensure each photo has sufficient resolution for its print size
  • For passport photos, verify dimensions are exact before printing the grid
